Grave of journalist Victor Noir

Victor Noir was a French journalist who was shot in a duel by Prince Pierre Bonaparte in 1870. As he was supposed to be married the next day (according to the myth), the visible protuberance in his statue's trousers is well polished by the thousands of women who rub, kiss and touch the spot, as it is rumoured to bring fertility.
